London’s Chicest Fashion Blogger I Want to be Chic

London’s lifestyle bloggers bring us stories from the capital of fashion, travel, and the good life. But the best fashion tips often come from those with an authentic voice and a natural sense of style. This is what drew us to fashion blogger Ana Martinez a.k.a I Want to be Chic, who adds an elegant cosmopolitan twist to that cool London vibe.

“If I were to describe my style, it would be feminine and cool, I’ve always gravitated to more feminine pieces… it’s little details like a touch of silk, a soft leather …”

So when Ana approached us about a work collaboration we thought it would be a perfect match! Ana fell head over heels for our Gigi Nude Brogues and described them in her May 2017 blog post as comfortable and stylish.

The essence of what we do at House of Spring is to create stories for lovers of fashion and timeless style, and we are happy to share this journey with one of the chicest bloggers in town!

Shoes and the City Press Party

There’s no better way to start the spring/summer season than with a party.  So we were thrilled to host a shoe stopping event at Somerset House last month where our guests were treated to a private viewing of House of Springs’ current styles and the not yet launched AW18 collection.

Among those present were Net-a-Porter, Good Housekeeping, Wolf & Badger, Country and Town House magazine, Smart Works Charity, and more.  A good time was had by all thanks to the contribution of the wonderful shoe expert Susannah Davda, otherwise known as The Shoe Consultant, who gave an inspiring talk on how shoes make us feel.

  Somerset house

Our guests got the opportunity to see and feel the quality of the shoes and try them on for comfort.  This is an experience we want to offer all our customers through our personal shopping experience called Shoes and the City.  For more information about this complimentary service where we bring the shoes to you, click here

The evening would not have been complete without the fine choux pastries from The Savoy which came in a variety of exotic flavours from crème brûlée to pistachio to add that French touch to this very chic soirée.  We hope you can join us at our next event!

Scarlett Josse x House of Spring When Art Meets Fashion

how to make a shoe

The House of Spring team love to share moments with talented, inspirational and beautiful souls whose work and personalities align with our values.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Scarlett Josse who shares our passion for the Paris meets London lifestyle. Scarlett is a London based illustrator and editor of the illustrated fashion & travel blog Fashion Climate. She has also worked with Fenwick.

We adore the stunning watercolours she has designed for our website which create a sense of calm and playful romanticism in an otherwise hectic day.

The HOS team caught up with Scarlett to learn more about what inspires her and why she loves the Parisian style.

Scarlett Josse London

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
This is such a hard question to answer but I would say creative, silly, funny, determined and ridiculously romantic.

How would you define your artistic style?
My work has been called romantic, whimsical, different and cute. I'm pretty happy with those descriptions!

What inspires your work?
It's sort of awful yet understandable but Instagram is a huge inspiration for me. However this is along with all the other inspiration cliches like books, art galleries, museums and the age-old travel.

What interests you about collaborating with House of Spring?
Like most English women I have an insane obsession with wanting to be French. So when I discovered House of Spring on Instagram, I instantly fell in love with the beautiful shoes and the coming together of my two favourite cities.

What is your favourite style of shoe in our collection?
It has to be the Portobello Bow Loafers yet they are closely followed by the Vivi Sandals. Chic and chic again!

As you know our shoes are inspired by the mix of Parisian and London style. What do you love most about the Parisian look and the London one?
The Parisian look is that effortless, borderline just got out of bed, sexy style that I and I think every woman secretly wants. London's style is definitely more known for its individuality, and that's something attainable by all just by being true to yourself and not listening to what’s 'in' this season.

Competition Time with Enbrogue x House of Spring

A little bit of feel-good factor with the fashion editor Hannah Rochell from

To celebrate the party season we've teamed up with our favourite blogger to have the chance to win a pair of our iconic flat shoes!

en brogue flat shoes

Hannah has something to tell you..

It's party season! Which is great but...if, like me, you don't wear heels, it can be a nightmare to find the right footwear. Luckily I've teamed up with House of Spring to give away one pair of their totally gorgeous snazzy flats - the ideal shoes to get you through the office party, dancing, Christmas AND New Year. The best bit? They’re incredibly comfortable, so you’ll be able to run to catch the train AND be the last one on the dance floor at the end of the night. Brilliant.

Whether it's the masculine-meets-feminine vibes of the Sloane lace-up derbies, the tres chic bows or leopard print of the Portobello loafers, or the glitter-tastic Paname loafers, there's something for everyone. All look great teamed with everything from your classic LBD to a tuxedo to jeans and a statement sweatshirt. Which means they’ll see you far beyond party season into to your everyday life too. What’s not to love about that?

To find out how to win a pair head over to my blog - - where you'll find all the details. It's really easy! You just have to have an Instagram account. But you only have until midnight on Friday December 2nd to enter, so don't hang about!
